PUCSL will announce tariff revisions after February 15: Kanchana

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera announced that the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) is responsible for deciding on electricity tariff revisions and will determine the date for the next adjustment after collecting public opinions by February 15. The minister emphasized his role is limited to proposing changes, not making decisions on tariffs. A forthcoming tariff revision is expected in April, with proposals to be submitted to the PUCSL in March. The PUCSL chairman confirmed that public feedback for the January tariff revision is being collected until February 15 and mentioned a planned three percent tariff revision.
