The total allocation for Hospital Development in the 2021 Budget amounted to LKR 20.3 billion. This consisted of LKR 3.60 billion for Bio Medical Equipment and LKR 2.5 billion for upgrading the health facilities of selected hospitals. Further, the budget speech also allocated LKR 10 billion for People Centric Health Services.
