Cost of Bilateral and Multilateral Loans

International Sovereign Bonds have a fixed interest rate. China and Japan have provided most of its loans on fixed interest rate basis, while ADB, India, and the World Bank are provide more variable interest terms loans.

Considering a weighted average interest rate of the loans obtained by these major sources financing, ISBs have the highest interest rates followed by China, India, and ADB. Japan lends at the lowest rates.

Private lenders often have more flexibility in negotiating loan terms compared to traditional financial institutions.
